Video ads are not loading in my game!

Some games on use built-in video ad overlays to offer boosts to in-game production or other kinds of rewards. These games use an API provided by Kongregate to link to advertising networks specific to the region where the player is located.

You may receive this error message:

We're sorry, but there are no ads currently available in your region!

Here are some common causes for this error:

Missing Location Data

This error can be caused when your computer doesn't allow the game to access Ads meant for your region. Enabling cookies and allowing games or your browser to access your location data will resolve this error. 

You can configure this in your browser's preferences menu. 

Check for any blocked sites in your browser configuration and consider removing any sites that may have been added automatically, as they could be restricting your access to in-game ads.


Privacy Extensions

Some browser extensions such as ad blockers or malware protection may block in-game advertisements. To resolve this issue, temporarily disable these extensions from your browser's preference menu and reload the game page.

If turning off the extension resolves the issue temporarily, consider reporting the error to the developer of the extension, or checking for software updates for the extension.

VPN Configuration

If you are using a VPN to connect to the internet, you may experience issues with these in-game ads. Some VPNs route your connection through a server bank that is located in their home country. Each service has its own home base, so users may find themselves located in Ireland, but routing through Brazil instead.

Check your VPN settings. If your VPN routes you through a different region, In-Game ads may not be available. 


Permissions Issues

Depending on the User account settings for your computer, your browser may not have permission to check your location or store page data.

If you are using a computer as a Guest User on a Mac and do not have a permanent Admin account, you will need to create a new user to resolve this issue. 

Parental Controls or Management Profiles on a user account may also block your ability to watch in-game ads. If you are using a computer that has these controls enabled, consult the computer administrator for additional assistance.
