How do I change my username?

Changing your name can be confusing to friends and followers, and it can give trolls an opportunity to dodge disciplinary action.

To limit confusion and mitigate trolling, name changes are not allowed in most cases.
However, if your username displays personal information, or if you entered the wrong name when creating your account, or if you'd like to request capitalization changes to your username, we can offer assistance. 

Likewise, if your account has been banned for violating our Code of Conduct regarding offensive usernames, you can appeal the suspension by agreeing to a name change.
